Most event DJs treat a corporate party as an easier wedding. We run it the same way: a timeline agreed in advance, microphones that work for the speeches nobody warned you about, and a read on the room as the night moves.
Corporate and holiday parties
Microphones handled for presentations and speeches, background music at a level people can talk over, and a dance floor once the room is ready for one. Nothing that would embarrass anyone on Monday.
Milestone birthdays
These rooms usually hold three generations, which is a programming problem more than a volume one. Tell us who is coming and we will keep the grandparents at the table and the cousins on the floor.
Private parties
Anniversaries, engagements, graduations. Smaller rooms, same equipment, and lighting if the space needs it.
Lighting is most of what a room feels like
A conference hall with the house lights up looks like a conference hall all night. Uplighting changes the colour of the walls, and a dance floor wash changes what the space becomes once dinner clears. The rig is ours, so it gets designed for your room rather than dropped in it. Most venues do not provide this and most DJs do not offer it.
